The 2018 Season has had a wonderful kickoff. I’ve updated the slideshow on the Photos page (as well as the flickr stream) with some photos from our season opener, Anne of Green Gables. I had a wonderful time working on the classic story with our student actors – there’s some challenging material there, but the students prove time and again that they can always rise to the occasion! Also, you’ll see it in the pictures, but WOW I had a wonderful production team with Lorne Kelley (scenery/lights), Connie Phillips (costumes), Katie Kraushaar (props) and Jeri Conboy (stage manager) all bringing their unique spin to the project.
As always here at QCT, it’s on to the next exciting show. This week I’m back in the rehearsal hall gearing up for this year’s touring production, Impressions of Yesterday. This adorable and informative show by Wade Bradford introduces students to the artists, inventors, and innovators of the Impressionist Era. (My fellow Wright State grads will be glad to know that, yes, the Wright Brothers are included in the script!) I’m so looking forward to exploring these characters with two rotating casts of student actors. We’re prepping now to hit the road April 23-June 12. Check out the QCT website for more info on public performances.
