Hello all –
It’s been a busy few weeks here in Omaha. My cohorts and I have been around the city performing in Holiday Time Around the World in Omaha elementary schools. I’ve never seen students so excited about poinsettias!
This weekend I participated in a staged reading of Yours, Anne. This was the first time the new version of the show – condensed and made appropriate for young audiences – had been performed. It was a pleasure to work with this beautiful story and score. Watch an excerpt below:
In a few days I am heading home for the holidays, but when I’m back, it’s time to hit the ground running on a few major projects. I am ESPECIALLY excited about beginning rehearsals for the world premiere of The Grocer’s Goblin and the Little Mermaid. This new adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen stories features shadow puppets, projections, and some old school stage magic I can’t wait to be a part of. I am playing the Grocer’s Wife and the Oldest Mermaid Sister – so I’ll be spending some of my holiday memorizing lines! I’ve been lucky enough to be with this script since its first readings and workshops, so I am truly grateful to get to see it through production.
Happy Holidays, one and all! 2014 will bring on some exciting new endeavors!
