December Productions Opening Next Week!

I am extremely fortunate to be working on two great productions this December – and both of them open next week!

Seasonal Shorts at the Human Race Theatre Company, Dec. 10-21

I am one of six local playwrights who created new short plays, which will be presented together at the Human Race December 10-21. My piece, Greeting Card Holiday Movie, is the first one in the show and is a loving parody of a very specific genre of holiday films. I included a choose-your-own-adventure set-up, so the play will be different every time! I have had a ball getting to develop this script with the team at the Race, and I’m so excited to see how audiences respond to it.

Take note that this production is for adults, but the Human Race is offering “Parents’ Day Out” on December 14 and 21 where the kiddos do a theatre workshop while the adults take in the show.

All of the short plays present very unique spins on holiday fare, and I’m so grateful to be a part of this group! Get your tickets here.

Twas: A Holiday Musical at Sinclair Community College, Dec. 11-14

I am also directing Twas: A Holiday Musical at Sinclair Community College, which runs December 11-14. This charming play is about pets who are left home alone on Christmas Eve, and they learn more about the holidays and celebrations their neighbor dogs share!

The Sinclair acting students are doing a great job embodying these characters. Additionally, we are working in collaboration with the Interpreter Education Program, so there are ASL interpreters shadowing each of the characters! I have really enjoyed getting to work on an ASL-integrated play again.

This play is definitely for family audiences, and I hope you come join us! Get your tickets here.
